Currently, I'm a full time software engineer and part time trader. I live in New York City.
This blog is part of my commitment to make trading a full time endeavor. I hope that I can become more successful as a trader by approaching the process more analytically.
I plan to use this blog to share some of my trading ideas and research.
The name Famous Trader came from Graffiti in a stall in the Non-Members bathroom of the Commodities Exchange at 4 World Trade Center. I started as a clerk on the Coffee, Sugar, Cocoa Exchange, and eventually became a Floor Trader. (So I got to use the member's bathroom. It was much cleaner).
The Graffiti was a poll asking, are there any famous traders? At first, most of the responses were about floor traders who "famously" threw telephones at clerks, or stabbed each other with pencils. But it was quickly agreed that local infamy didn't really qualify as famous.
After a few weeks, George Soros, Paul Tudor Jones, and Nick Leeson pretty much rounded out the list.
Me....I'm not famous....but I'm working on it.
